So why the alliance with Hitler could lead to the destruction of the Polish nation, and also why Beck could not have it.
Debate on the so-called The "German option", which allegedly could have been chosen by the decision makers of the Second Republic, has been going on for several years and is mainly focused on the level of alternative historical considerations mainly based on the knowledge of what the actual decisions have caused. I think that evaluating our ancestors according to this concept is simply unfair to them. In addition, for me, these are intellectual astray, leading to no useful conclusions (especially when people read attractive, alternative creations, without knowing the basic facts and real historical circumstances).

Therefore, in the following considerations I wanted to analyze the discussed issue, giving in the most real way, the conditions and circumstances in which Poles made decisions in the 1930s. I also reserve that I do not engage in polemics with someone's alternative vision of the past. First of all, polemic with somebody's image just does not make sense in the context of drawing conclusions, evaluating and analyzing what happened. Secondly, people who create alternative historical scenarios often (paradoxically) show a lack of imagination. For example, they do not accept, for example, worse scenarios than those that existed in reality. Or they do not accept other possibilities of history's rollover than those they themselves invented for the purposes of their own theoretical concept.
Because the blog is strongly related to the geopolitics, I tried to put more emphasis on the issues related to the existing system of forces in the 1930s (year, year after year), as well as the geo-strategic situation of individual states / actors of that period.
Alliance with the Third Reich. When could we make it? Chronology of events. Force System. The theory according to which the Second Polish Republic should form an alliance with the Third Reich is extremely popular, especially in the circles of people who are interested in geopolitics. A number of arguments have been invented to prove the validity of this concept. However, rarely, supporters of the "German option" manage to indicate a specific time period in which such a system should be included, and then defend this date in the light of the chronology of historical events. This is because the hypothetical concept of an alliance, when it is attempted to locate it in reality, must be confronted with the entire baggage of the real historical background. With all the circumstances, events and dynamics of diplomatic processes that existed in reality. The concept of an alliance with the Third Reich simply does not stand this confrontation. This is because there has never been a good time for a deal with Hitler.
To understand this, it is necessary to analyze the chronology of events, taking into account the geopolitical balance of power in Europe at every stage of the diplomatic process leading to the war in September 1939.
